How to create a #4 scratch on stainless
Is there a 3" x 21" belt (for belt sander) to achieve a #4 scratch on broad surfaces of stainless steel? Ray

There are companies that can provide specific length and sized belts to meet your needs.
We use A Abrasives a Philly based company. Be aware that there may be minimum qty's required for a custom length .. also your belt-sander may be too fast. you may need to develop a technique to accommodate that.
Furthermore a #4 finish is unidirectional and you may find that using a belt the way you want to may leave "stripes"
good luck
