Tin stripper on brass

Q. Dear sir kindly suggest to me stripping of tin from brass material.
The process should be very economical because we have many tons of brass pieces.

A. Currently I also use tin stripper chemical.
Many kinds of chemical can be used to strip tin from brass.
We use nitric acid low concentration. Many Stripper chemicals were sold.
But, vapor/ air emission during stripping is dangerous.
We did it in acid room (with scrubber) and use protective equipment. Also the waste water needs to be processed at WWTP.

When our brass parts were small, we used an oven to melt tin from brass with temperature about 250 °C. After cooling, we used only a small quantity of chemical to strip remaining tin on brass.

A. You also can try electro-stripping if you need to process big volume products. This process cost is very low and generates extra profit by tin recovery. There is no more environmental issue, waste water is very reduced and easy to treat.
