Polishing steel cycle parts to a bright finish
I too am wanting to polish my 1989 Honda CBR frame and swingarm but my swingarm is not aluminum it is steel. Can I still polish it like aluminum and get the same finish.

Sorry, it probably won't work, David. Steel is not bright like aluminum, and it will rust almost instantly. A clear coat has little chance of protecting steel from rust in a difficult outdoor environment. Steel parts should go to a plating shop for nickel-chrome plating. Good luck.
