Removal of PVC lining

A 16" MS pipe has been lined on the inside with a 3.5mm thick PVC pipe lining. Vinyl ester resin was used for bonding. The PVC lining has cracked. The MS pipe length is 6 mtrs.
What is the cleanest and fastest way to remove the PVC AND the resin?

In the USA, most people would throw it away and get a new one as the labor on the old one would be prohibitive and not many people would be qualified to reline it.

Heat the pipe up to 110 °C then cool to room temp after it is cool you can easily cut the coating.

Hi R.S.

James Watt hit it on the head. Garbage it ... and instal a new section.

Why ever line the INSIDE that way ? That's the wrong technique ! Unless the pressure is enormous, just make a PVC liner and PROPERLY fibreglass it ... and vinylester resin sure ain't the proper way to make a dual laminate. There are special bonding resins for that.

... Alcore in Ontario made the world's first successful dual laminate.... back in the early 60's ....and I sold it!
