Removing paint from home made B-B-Q
Hi,
I recently built a home barbecue. I created the main section from a piece I found in a junkyard. I refabricated part of it, but a significant amount of the paint remains. Now that the barbecue is completed, I want to get the paint off. Sandblasting is not an option, and I've tried Jasco which works with mild success. Any ideas?

Hello, Alex. The most powerful chemical stripper you will find is methylene chloride, sometimes called "Aircraft Stripper"; it is nasty stuff to be used only in full accord with the directions and common sense. Jasco ⇦ this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] is a brand name of a paint stripper and I'm not sure if it is methylene chloride or some safer and more environmentally friendly material. Good luck.
