Aluminum cased kitchen utensil
I have an old Ice Mallet used for cracking ice which I believe it is casted of aluminum; at least that what my dad said. He worked at Teledyne Continental Motors for many years (before Teledyne bought them)and left it to me. It used to have a nice shiny look to it but I, unfortunately, put it in the dishwasher. Now it is dull and black stuff rubs off on my hands. Is there a way to bring that nice finish back?
Thanks.

Any auto parts store will have tubes of aluminum polish. Rub...rub...rub. By the time you think your arm's about to give out, it'll look like new.
