Yellow and Blue passivation - Zinc plating

2007

Please let us know the probable causes how the plating quality / thickness of coating will get affected after the passivation process. What are the sequence of operations in the process - order of different baths, etc.

Hello, Bala. Chromate coatings will not effect the thickness of the zinc plating -- they are extremely thin, millionths of an inch.

For your other questions, please describe your situation so that we can help you. Entire books have been written about chromate conversion coatings and we do not know which of those pages are applicable and inapplicable until you describe your own situation and problem. Regards,
