Looking for GOLD PLATING substitute

2007

Hello folks

I'm looking to find a gold plating substitute that is commonly used on door handles as well as on horological pieces, which is a lot more resistant than gold and a lot cheaper. It does not have the same colour as gold, but it does the job. It looks to me as brass that doesn't tarnish.

Could anybody help me on finding what this plating solution is, and where I can find it?

Thanks in advance...

Ed. note: This is PVD coating, Peter, most likely with titanium nitride (like the gold colored drill bits). Be aware that you may need conventional nickel ot tri-bronze plating under it, depending on what you are trying to do. Our supporting advertisers will contact you privately.
