Cyanide concentrations in zinc-CN plating?
I'm a student at the University of MN, investigating waste minimization alternatives in the metal plating industry. My question is: What is the typical range of cyanide concentrations (or cyanide solution concentrations) in zinc cyanide plating baths? Thanks for your help.

Per the Metal Finishing Guidebook:
- Low cyanide: 1.5 - 2.5 oz/gal
- Mid cyanide: 3.5 - 6.0 oz/gal
- High cyanide: 11.0 - 14.0
But the direction of movement has been downward such that the traditional low cyanide is probably today's actual mid range.
