Information Regarding Exact Value of Surface Roughness

2007

Sir,
I am doing final year project in Abrasive electric discharge drilling. For that purpose I am using CBN coated tool (Copper). EDM machine I am using. After drilling hole I have to measure Surface Roughness value Ra,Rz,Rt. So please give information that what values will be come out Theoretically.

Thanks,

Hi Vinay. Very little indeed will be learned from conducting the project in that order. To discourage junk science (designing the experiment however wackily is necessary to get the 'correct' result, inventing reasons to dismiss contrary results, over-crediting agreeable results), we like to do things in the opposite order here.

So drill the hole, measure the surface roughness, and post your result; then people will enthusiastically comment on your results vs. the theoretical, and why you got or didn't get that result. Thanks.
