What is the proper oil for achieving an oil rubbed finish on soild bronze

Hi my name is Jason Allen and I have started up a new company that finishes metal products and I am trying to finish a solid Bronze piece with a oil rubbed finish. I do not know the proper technique for the actual finishing or what oil to use on the Bronze. I have run across a lot of people talking about making brass to look like oil rubbed bronze, but nothing on this specifically. I have a piece that has a bright satin polish to it right now, it is not sealed or treated in any way. It is in a raw bronze unfinished state. I'm hoping that someone here can guide me on how and what to do and use! Thanks to everyone for your knowledge and support of people like me that are learning.

I have never had to do a Rubbed Bronze finish from scratch but if I did I would look to NOMMA The National Ornamental And Misl Metals Assoc.

Website: www.nomma.org

They have instructional videos as well as links to potential suppliers.

"La Kromadora", Alicia Moreno, offers some advice on this in letter 34482, "How to: Oil Rub Bronze". Good luck.
