Brush Chemical Conversion

Hi,
We have a chemical conversion line in place, but the tanks are small and we were looking to do brush alkaline on larger parts.
I ran some practice parts by brushing on the chemicals and sent them out for salt spray test and they passed.
My question is does anyone have a formal procedure for brush chemical conversion. I have looked but could only find bits and pieces.

Thanks,

Chemical Conversion on what: Aluminum, zinc, cadmium or copper? All you have to do is prepare the surface, and keep the chromate wet on the surface until the desired color (coating weight, thickness, etc) is obtained: immersion, spray or swabbing. Higher concentration than normally used in the tank will help speed the process.

Hi,
Thanks for your response. It's Aluminum. My point is that the parts are too large for the tanks and I was just looking to see if anyone had a procedure to follow for brush Alodine. The way we ran our practice pieces left a lot to be desired. I have some ideas, but we do work for the aerospace industry and need to make sure that we follow any formal procedures.

Thanks,
