I'm looking for info on a new motorcycle I just bought its a Suzuki and it has a few plastic parts like the air cleaner cover and it is chrome plated plastic. I want to paint it black is there a way to do this? de-chroming parts? thanks

Hi Ross,

Have a gander at # 12044 which essentially asked the same question.

The German philosopher GOETHE said ... the printed word lies ... das gedruckte Wort lügt ... and that sure applies to some of the replies !

Reference letter 44134, it's a month old but probably still pertinent. It's titled "Painting over plastic chrome to flat black".
Ted, you can make it easy on yourself if you quit hiding these (recently) past letters :-)

It's not exactly hidden, it's right there in plain sight with 44 thousand other letters (although it would take Evelyn Woods quite a while to find it among so many). What we need is a Dewey Decimal System for our letters. . . Wait . . . Eureka! Why put the burden on myself? What we need is a Dewey Decimal System for Google :-)
