How to prevent rust on stainless steel of grade 304(cu)on fastener items

Hello sir

mine is the fastener manufacture unit in India and we are facing problems as our customer who stays in cold region that the metal which are supplying in stainless steel of grade in SS304 (cu) is getting rusted I just want help from you how to prevent such kind of problem.
Please help me in this matter.

Step one would be to passivate. Step two would be to find out what is different about his use. you may have to go to 316 SS.

Hello, please let me know how stainless steel fasteners can be passivated using citric acid or passivation method I would like to know complete process I mean to say what all chemicals are used and by what method your attention in this regard will be highly appreciated
