White metal plating/coating as bearing surface on steel to reduce wear




Q. I need information on Coating white metal (alloy) on bearing surface for enhancing wear resistant properties of steel.
I need a process for the same.

A. You are referring to white bronze alloy (tin-zinc-copper)? It is difficult to get the three metals to plate out in correct proportions because of their different electrochemical activity. I think you should consider purchasing a proprietary process so you will get the right complexors plus eperienced help; I'm not personally aware of generic formulations in production use.

A. Dear sir
Coating with white metal alloy you need first to prepare the surface by using a diluted acid and ammonia this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] chloride by adding a layer of pure tin; then after making the tin layer, you should prepare the alloy to coat the metal. It is a very complicated procedure but if you are still interested we can do it step by step.
