Can you prevent the patina process of copper
2007
I'm a contractor in Laguna Beach, Ca. and I recently installed a copper roof. My clients DO NOT want it to turn green!
Ideally they would like it to stay brown,( like a old penny) What are my options?

A. An old penny which is not handled but is left exposed outside will turn green, Nelson. It is possible to apply a brown patina finish and then clearcoat/lacquer the copper, but the clearcoat will have limited life if not regularly maintained; the environment drives it to a green finish.

I've been getting some feed back on ACRYLAQ & PERMALAQ. Has anyone used this product for similar applications, and if so what did you think about it?
