Dishwashing dishware with gold inlay
I am a food consultant, and a client's dishware has stumped me. They are redesigning their home kitchen and are buying a new dishwasher. Their formal dishware has gold inlay that is also raised. When washing dishware of this nature commercially we lower the temperature in each cycle. What home dishwashers will allow my clients to control the temperature and the complete wash cycle so that their dishware will not be damaged? Also, which detergents would be best for this delicate service ware?

Richard,
I would not advertise lowering temps in dishwashers, especially in commercial units. As a food consultant I'm sure you don't need the health inspector on your back. Any gold inlay or raised inlayed china should be washed by hand. When you buy expensive china the manufacturer states that in the cleaning and care instructions.
