440 FSe mold is corroding from Hydrochloric Acid

Large rubber molding manufacturer has a problem with 440 FSe tool steel corroding from Hydrochloric acid given off from certain compounds. Does anyone know of a coating that may reduce or eliminate this corrosion issue? Note this process is a constant 400F.

440 alloy should not be selected when exposure to chlorides is expected. A high nickel alloy should have been used. Only alternative in my opinion, would be a heavy nickel plate but its durability will totally depend on its thickness and absence of pores and voids. It will not be comparable to a solid high nickel substrate. A diffusion treatment, if possible, might improve its performance.

Hi there,
Try to get your mould electroless nickel plated, as it gets into all shapes and sizes,And it gets harder with heat.
