How to Remove Paint Crayon (Markal) from Steel Plate

I need to remove markings made by MarkalPaint Crayons from both steel and titanium plate. Currently, the shop has to grind these marks off and we have been unable to find a suitable solvent. I have not been able to get an answer from Markal as of yet but it is very labor intensive to get these markings off the sheet. If anyone has any wisdom in this area, it would very much be appreciated.

Have you tried De-solv-it this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] ? Not sure if it will work with the paint you mentioned but it does a great job on sticky, adhesive residues like gums, adhesive tapes, etc on stainless.
Be sure to use a clean microfiber cloth to wipe it off so as not to scratch the stainless surface.

Also, you might want to call the paint manufacturer and ask them.

We get this marking on much steel that comes for galvanizing.
We use a proprietary brand paint remover gel this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] with 00 steel wool this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] . The paint remover on its own is Ok, but too slow, so the steel wool means the marking can be removed in one go.
