Positive identification of part marking on anodized surfaces
Currently, part marking is achieved by engraving the bare surface of the aluminum before it is anodized. Engraving does not give a positive logo identification for some customers. What are my options for postive part identification on an anodized surface that will not affect the properties of the anodized finish such as laser etching?

If you are dyeing the anodize, you could anodize, mask on your logo, dye, remove mask, and seal. There are companies who specialize in this process.

Our prior experience w/ silk screening was negative-messy and not accurate. Is there a process that can be achieved before anodizing or a process after anodizing such as chromate conversion coatings?
