Hex-chrome free alternatives to hard anodizing and Dichromate Seal

Q. Currently using an aluminium housing on a commercial vehicle application, material is LM24, but is then hard anodised followed by a dichromate seal. As I understand it the Dichromate seal contains Hex Chrome, which I am tasked with eliminating. Is a hex chrome free alternative generally available? I need to maintain the same level of corrosion resistance.

? Question one is why are you sealing hard anodize? will a nickel or cobalt acetate seal work? Can you clear coat it?

A. Perhaps, use both a nickel acetate seal and an organic topcoat.

Sanchem in the US offers 2 non-chrome replacements: "SafeGard CC-5000 - Direct replacement for standard dichromate seal...almost identical color to final product and is used at almost the same temperature and time as a chromate seal. SafeGard CC-5100 - A clear seal that is applied at room temperature...environmentally safe organic seal that gives corrosion resistance equivalent to that of chromate."
They have European customers for other products, ask whether these are available.
