Cadmium Plated Parts
We use cadmium plated CRES parts in our assemblies, and I want to know the potential risk of exposure of employees to cadmium. There's no welding or any subsequent process involved other than fastening.
My question is whether the cadmium plated parts emit cadmium dust or fumes

Very minimal exposure from electroplated cadmium. It is soft, so it does not normally "dust". some people with very corrosive sweat can dissolve some cad which can be absorbed into the body thru the skin.
To be super safe, wear clean gloves every day.

During normal operation you will not get fumes of cadmium. The amount of dust you may produce using the fasteners will be virtually immeasureable.
Using good house-keeping practices will keep any exposure to a minimum (gloves when handling, dust mask if physically working the cadmium surfaces, overalls at all times, ensure good hygiene routine for breaks for meals and bathroom visits, etc).
