Doubts regarding selection of a mandrel

I'm doing a project work on electroforming, I would like to know whether is it possible to use tin as a mandrel material, or what lse material may I use for electroplating of metals

The most common mandrel materials are probably wax (which can be melted away), aluminum (which can be dissolved in caustic) and stainless steel (which can be passivated so that the electroform can be pulled off of it), Meenakshi.

There is probably no reason that you cannot electroform an object onto a tin mandrel, but remember that you need to be able to separate your electroform from the mandrel. Good luck.
