Trivalent Chromate Conversion Coating of Aluminum

Hello,

Can someone please advice us as to what other colors of trivalent chromate beside clear are available for aluminum?

Don't be discouraged by the lack of responses to your inquiry but rather accept it as affirmation that as of this time, trivalent conversion coating of aluminum is available only as clear! My firm has tried the trivalents from a few suppliers, all based on the NAVAIR patents, and tried a number of means to "stain" them or color them without degrading the coating - IMPOSSIBLE! My assessment is that for now we're stuck with CLEAR only. I'd love to know if anyone has come up with something new in this regard.
