Preparation of older aluminum surface for painting
2007
I have good mill finished aluminum storms on a home we just bought and want to paint them white.
How should the surface be prepared for painting?
Thanks,

Rinse it well then treat it with tannic acid ⇦ this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] solution (1 gm tannic acid ⇦ this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] /1 lit water). When surface is dry wipe it with old rag and pure alcohol.Normally you can use any good proprietary product too. Good luck!
