Scratch proof coating for DVD spindles
I have some spindles made of aluminium. these spindles are used for DVD manufacturing and it's wearing and aluminium powder is falling all over the Machine more over the black aluminum powder is sticking to the glouse and spoiling the DVDs. If anybody is having a solution for avoiding this please inform me

There are many coatings that are potential solutions to the problem, Gopinath. Hard anodizing, electroless nickel plating, or hard chrome plating would be the first three that come to my mind. I think the hard chrome plating would be the first thing I'd look into.

Besides the ones Ted has suggested, how about some more esoteric coatings such as DLC (Diamond-like Carbon) or Titanium nitride (TiN)? Both are vacuum deposits and can offer very hard and wear resistant coatings.
