Woodgrain effect powder coating

Occasionally people ask about obtaining wood grain effects from powder coating. Normally this is a film carried "printed" transfer that goes on top of a base colour in polyester. Anyone had experience of this process? Is it relatively expensive, difficult? Are there critical parameters involved?

Dear Sirs,

Please note that there are different methods such as, heat transfer, water transfer, powder on powder....

The most common one is heat transfer on powder coating .

I would be happy to help you if you need!

Water base film transfer is not difficult, and not expensive (approx. 1.00 sqft for film) it can be applied to any dry surface; requires automotive spray paint equip, and a large open heated water tank. Tank can be built for approx. $500. US.

If you apply 2 coats of powder you can get a perfect grained effect when done any other way the grain is smooth this way its more profound quick and cheap to apply size of job or item is not important aluminium or steel even galvanized this is easiest way I have seen.
