Bonding galvanized wire

We are trying to build a model roller coaster out of 14 gauge galvanized wire. Soldering did not seem to bond. What are your recommendations?

My suggestion would be to use tin plated wire instead of galvanized, Mischa.

High quality model railroad track is made of nickel coated copper. In that light, would model railroad track work for you?
