Electrolytic Tinning Process of Copper Wires

Dear Sir

I want to know about the Process of Electrolytic Tinning. How it has been Done. What are critical Parameters to be watched during this process. How to control the Tinning Thickness.

Please do reply to my queries.

Thanks,

In electrolytic tinning the thickness of the tin will be proportional to the ampere-hours (the product of current density and time) in accordance with Faraday's Law of Electrolysis, Hitendra. Most of the classic electroplating books listed on our "must-have booklist" will include at least a chapter on tin plating, and some of them have separate chapters on continuous plating. Please be aware, if the topic is new to you, that this industry is structured around proprietary chemicals: you find a supplier and they will come in and give you at least a brief intro into what is involved. Alternately, there are electroplating consultants who will get you on track. Good luck.
