Bead wire adhesion
2007
Although we achieve the costumer specifications for coating
(bronze amount and Sn% specified on the specs) we receive bad adhesion results even in the same Lot (the wires produced on the same line, at the same doff). Checking the standard wires (the wires to make sure if the compound is satisfactory) there is no worsening as we have in normal production wires' adhesion results.
I can not be sure whether this is coming from the process(process conditions are same in the wires with high adhesion and the wires with low adhesion) or from the compound(the compound doesn't seem to be different than the latest one regarding the standard wires' adhesion results) or the testing (the operator; the press; Instron are all the same in high and low adhesion wires)
Thanks in advance

Dear Mr. Inseli
Adhesion of bead wire is Unique, but the philosophy of Adhesion is where the rubber reacts with the bronze plating on wire surface.
The force of the adhesion depends on two condition:
1.First condition is mechanism of rubber bond to the coating.
if any substances between coating and rubber the force becoming lost in force. for this reason you must check from plating process and after plating process condition until the adhesion test.
2.Second condition is coating condition with the wire.
If coating condition is bad even the reaction of coating + Rubber is good, the force will be lost.
for this reason you must check before plating and plating process condition.
