Checking method of silver plated ss strip
Sir we are a manufacturer of iron thermostats here; we have used ss strip with silver plating. I want to check how much plating has been done but it's very difficult to check with micrometer so please tell me some other method for checking this plating.

Abhay,
Most companies use a coating thickness measurement device. The most affordable device I know of would be the Beta Backscatter with a silver standard. The supplier would have to know the underplate or the substrate metal under the silver. There are a number of suppliers on this website that can provide the proper unit. Good Luck!

X-ray fluorescence may work very well for this application. However - not cheap. You could use it for other purposes also.

Dear Abhay
You can use Portable XRF also.
