Recovery of Silver From Electroplating Dragouts




How to recover the Silver metal from silver plating baths dragouts, that too if the content of the silver in the bath is 0.5g/L to 1.0g/L? Please brief.

How about a resin exchange column? You could schedule your tank dump/treatment when the silver drops to the ppm range.

You can use successfully Electro-Catalytic Precipitation by oxidative process, where the metals in solution, no matter what metal salt it is, goes in solid oxides and then will be mechanically filtered and recovered by metallurgical technologies.

Add zinc dust this on eBay or Amazon [affil links] & sodium hydroxide in it . filter solution after 12 hrs.and burn it & treat this residue in nitric acid.than precipitate silver from silver nitrate.
