Look of diffused nickel cadmium plate

I do not know, may the Diffused Nickel Cadmium Plate have final dark blue iridescent color? Because the normal color should vary from olive drab to black.
Thanks in advance,

I have not seen it that color, Vesna. I thought it was a generally grey-ish metallic color. But instead of phrasing the proposition in an abstract way, what is your actual situation?

They either have a contaminated bath, or they are OD chromated before heat treatment which will turn it a nice black. One or more jet engine Mfg's do this.
