How do I clean and remove oxidation from the metal trim around my commercial windows

2006

Hello,

My name is David Urben and I'm a commercial real estate investor/developer.
I recently purchased a large office building that is about 20 years old. The building is in relatively good shape. There is one thing though that needs to be addressed to bring the exterior up to snuff cosmetically. The bronze looking metal window surrounds are badly oxidized and tarnished. It makes the building look worn and tired. Can someone give me the secret to cost effectively remove this oxidized, faded look and restore the color back to the original look.

Thanks.

HI Neighbor!. In 20 years the controlled aluminum oxide anodized film which is doped with Manganese Oxide to give the bronze color; has given way to atmospheric thermal and humidity cycling and uncontolled aluminum oxide has powdered to the top.

The only thing you can do is to paint.
