Blisters after zinc plating

I have a problem with blisters on steel parts. The parts are welded and around welding areas covered by burned oil. Blisters occurs mainly on this areas (but not only). Do you have any idea how to remove burned oil and what can be the reason of blister after acid zinc plating.

Well it seems like you already know the problem and its answer. You need extremely good cleaning around the welded area. Try using double or triple manual cleaning before zinc plating these parts.
Also you can manually clean the parts with MEK / methyl ethyl ketone before going into a soak cleaner. Your root cause is ineffective cleaning and you have to find ways to better clean these parts.

Can't add too much else, but wire brushing might help. I thought that you may get good results with some kind of mechanical cleaning.

Good Luck
