Does anyone know what chemicals are used for gun blueing and the proportions they are mixed in?

Old Angiers book Firearm Blueing and Browning [on eBay , Amazon, AbeBooks affil links] can be very good starting point (cca 20 usd) www.thelitterbox.org webpages are very good too and info can be downloaded for free (7 good books on 19th / early 20th century technology) Hope it helps and good luck!
