HARD CHROME PLATING VAT

2006

We operate two Vertical Hard chrome Plating vat. We now wish to add hard Chrome Plating Vat. We would like to get an general opinion as to what type of Tank would be reasonably good i.e vertical or horizontal; our components would be Cylindrical job of around 8000 mm to 9000 mm and diameter around 250 mm.

If you are going to process shafts or parts that require the plating on all of their surfaces, a vertical tank with good agitation to avoid temperature stratification may be adequate for it's easier to handle both parts and anodes. The tanks could be under floor level if your building is limited in height and the crane as tall as your tank depth. Rolls that require plating only on their larger diameter can be processed in horizontal tanks and supported, connected and rotated on their spindles while only a portion of the larger diameter is submerged.
