Hot Dip Galvanising
Sir, I have heard that use of CERAMIC Kettle / Furnace in hot dip galvanising for bringing down the dross formation. Please advise me whether it is correct or just a myth. Also please advise if there are some other methods of bringing down the dross formation.
Thanks,

Dross in galvanizing forms whenever there is Fe available for the zinc to react with. There are many sources of Fe. The steel being galvanized, the kettle wall, and carried from the pretreatment section on the work being galvanized.
Eliminating any of these will reduce zinc dross formation. You can't eliminate the steel you are galvanizing. You can reduce the Fe carried by it in solution. You can eliminate the kettle wall by going to ceramic. But if you do this last one, you have the question of how to heat the zinc.
Top flame heating will cost more than the dross problem in zinc oxidation losses.
Immersion heating is possible and practical, depending on your energy source.
