Addition of Cadmium metal in Cadmium Plating Bath
We analyse Cadmium Plating Bath for cadmium metal, Chlorides and sulphates. Cadmium metal content of the bath is at lower limits. We have Cadmium anodes dipped in the bath but it increases metal content very slowly. How can we add Cadmium metal other than anodes to the bath already prepared.
thanks.

First of two simultaneous responses --
You use cadmium oxide. Wear a respiratory mask so that you do not inhale any as it will give a dust cloud if you are not extremely careful.

Second of two simultaneous responses --
Simply put cadmium oxide into a filter bag and hang into plating bath with circulation can increase cadmium content.

You generally add cadmium oxide. I suggest you get a reference book.
