Painting on Toilet tanks, bowls and bathtubs-need product
Q. PAINTING POTTIES AND BATHTUBS! Help! I am a mural artist, and my latest job is painting a mural on all surfaces in a residential restroom. This includes carrying the mural over to the toilet tank and bowl, and the outside of the bathtub. I am looking for a product that will lend itself to painting like an acrylic, so my art will not be sacrificed, and still be durable and adhere to the fixtures. I would be soooo thankful to any one who may have tips. Thanks.

A. In addition to a paint, you'll need to prepare those surfaces for good adhesion. You'll probably need to use a hydrofluoric acid based cleaner for that. A glass etching compound will do, but MAKE SURE YOU READ AND FOLLOW THE LABEL AND MSDS. HF is dangerous stuff, and can ruin your fingers in a very painful way, and then poison and kill you.

A. Dear sir, you coat the PTFE fluoropolymer based coating on toilet bowls and tubs that helps to non stick, easy release, non wetting and water resistant.
This type of coatings are sold under the trade name Teflon (EI Dupont ltd); this is a new concept for bathrooms.
