ASTM B633-98 std: Electrodeposited coating of Zinc
Hi, can anyone advise if the ASTM std ASTM B633-98 std specification for Electroplated coatings on Iron and steel , the quality requirements ( coating , hydrogen embrittlement relief) apply to rework parts? Thanks.

Why not? Isn't the rework being sold or certified as per ASTM B633? And, is the rework authorized by the customer?
"11.1 Coatings not conforming to this specification or to authorized modification shall be rejected..."
"12.1 ...The purchaser may similarly require that a report of the test results be furnished."
Hydrogen embrittlement testing should be negotiated with the customer. It may help to have documented procedures and past test results to show that hydrogen embrittlement is avoided.
