Shock Absorber Springs Powder Coating

We are trying to Powder coat Shock Absorber Springs (motorcycle). We are unable to penetrate the inside areas, there are small pockets which remain uncoated / low coated. If we try to reach those areas the Outer surface DFT becomes very high which is not acceptable. what Can you suggest to reach those areas? we are using PP powder.

Hello

Lately one of my clients had the same problem, the powder was too fine and the fadaray's jail effect was observed in the object to be coated. As a result, parts of the object was not coated.

Contact your supplier and ask him a way to solve the problem.

I doubt you will solve the problem with a corona charge gun, but you might have success if you apply the paint with a fluidized bed. This is easy to test, you heat a spring and then dip it into the hopper while the paint is fluidizing and then rehang it and let it run through the cure oven. You have to experiment with this method so that you know how high to heat the spring and how long it needs to be in the fluidized paint to get the coverage you ae looking for.
