SS cut wire shot blasting to SS surface

I would like to know the basic Shot blasting with SS cut wire for the SS surface. As our customer is of the idea that only spherical balls to be used instead of cut wire (1 mm).

There are some variable here that need to be addressed. Basically, steel is steel. They will both produce relatively the same results; however, the shape will have an effect as well as the size of both media. Steel ball shaped media will generally produce an orange peel appearance with wide depressions; whereas, steel shot of the same size range will produce more dimples that are deeper. Probably one will have more of a luster and the other more of a frost like appearance.
