Electroless and Electrolytic Copper Plating on Ceramic

Dear Sirs,
I am doing a thesis on Electroless & Electrolytic Copper Plating on ceramic. This is something new for me as previously I have 5 years experience in PCB (but not in ceramic). I had check through the search engines but result still not good enough for me to start my experiment. It seems a lot of surface preconditioning needed prior electroplating process starts. Do you guys out there have any info on this?

Please help.

Thanks.

I am also having trouble finding a supplier or information on electroless plating of ceramic, specifically piezoelectric ceramic and preferably with copper. Have you had any success since you asked the question in October?
