Return of conductivity after rinsing
2006
We rinse several 304 ss components in 416 liters of deionized water, until we reach 10 microsiemens. Then the vessel is sealed for
24 hours. When we open the vessel the conductivity has rebounded to
50 to 60 microsiemens. We experience this rebound no matter how many times we complete the rinse. Where are we getting this bounce?

If I am correctly understanding what you are doing, I believe the
304 stainless is dissolving in the DI water sufficiently to raise the conductivity to the level you are observing.
