Trivalent yellow chromate for zinc die cast?
We are in the process of switching our zinc die-cast line from hexavalent chromate to trivalent chromate. I am able to get a nice yellow color by dying the parts after trivalent chromate, however, I have not been able to come close to achieving the 72 hour salt spray results I need. I have not even been able to reach 72 hours with a top coat. Does anyone have any knowledge of a trivalent chromate (with or without top coat) for zinc die-cast that will be capable of achieving 72 hours to white salts in the salt spray cabinet?
