Hard chrome plating on the parent bore of old cylinder block

Dear Sir's,

We are running a workshop, doing repair & maintenance of automotive components. We are looking for a solution to repair old cast iron cylinder blocks, which are found with their parent bore cracked, after removing cylinder liner.

Our idea is to bore & expand the parent bore size (75 mm & of wall thickness approx. 7 mm) by 1 to 2 mm (or as recommended by you) & plate a layer of hard chrome or any other compound advised by you, after repairing the crack with a process advised by you, if required.

Please provide your advice for the process to followed in this concern.

Thanks.
