Black coating on chromium on glass patterns

2006

I have a special process how to generate sub micrometer features of chromium onto a glas surface. In order to reduce the reflectivity of the chromium (especially for 630nm wavelength) I would like to transform the chromium layer into a black chromium, or to cover it with a black layer.
The thickness of the chromium is 100 nm.
Thanks for any hints!

Try to colour it with 5% palladium or platinum chloride solution -test it on some chromium plated plates. This is somewhat expensive but must work on any metal less noble then palladium or platinum. Hope it helps and good luck!
