Yellow to White Passivation

2006

Dear Sir
I am Working In Refrigerator R&D and want to know that if I wanna change from Yellow to white passivation in some of our components , then for same thickness and for same surface area is there any change in cost
Is there a cost increase or decrease. Please confirm me if possible with some details as our aim for change is cost reduction.

Theoretically, clear passivation should be thiner than yellow and slightly less expensive. I don't think, however, that there is any real difference in quoted prices.

White as in yellow and bleach (what people refer to as clear in India) or white as in blue?
Either way I would charge the same for either.

Hellow

but what about passivation Cr +3 with corrosion protection just like passivation Cr +6. I think this process is more expensive than normal yellow passivation.

Yes Trivalent costs much more! Twice and above to be precise.

Sunil,
If your aim is cost reduction and want to change from yellow to white(Blue) in Hex passivation, please do not proceed further.
The cost will be same but SST life of Hex blue will be less than half of hex yellow
