About 22 years -- at least, get
MIL-DTL-13924
[on DLA]D.
Don't know firsthand, but believe AMS2485 is more specific regarding QC sampling and inspection.

MIL-C-13924 (now MIL-DTL-13924D) specifies a chromic acid sealer after processing (Class 1, 2, and 4).
AMS2485J does not include the chromic acid treatment.
